Hilary Ann Swank (born July 30, 1974) is an actress American film. Acting career in Hollywood she began with a small role in the movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) and then a big role in The Next Karate Kid (1994), where she played Julie Pierce, the first woman the sensei (teacher) Mr. Miyagi protection.
She is known for winning two Oscars performance: first as Brandon Teena, a transgender man (FTM) (women move into male gender) in the movie Boys Do not Cry (1999), and the female martial boxer Maggie Fitzgerald in the film Million Dollar Baby (2004).
Swank was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, , is the daughter of Judy (née Clough), employed secretaries and dancers, and Stephen Swank, a former officer in the "national air defense forces "(Air National Guard) and then employed to offer.  She has one brother (brother) named Dan. Many of her family from Ringgold County, Iowa. September 1997, Swank plays a single mother Carly Reynolds in the movie Beverly Hills, 90210. Initially, she was promised a role that will last for 2 years, but suspended after 16 episodes in January 1998. Swank later said she was stunned when her role was cut, and thought "If I can not afford the film 90210, then I would not be able to do any film."
However, this dismissal was a lucky break for Swank, freeing her to come audition for the role of Brandon Teena in Boys Do not Cry. Swank 7% reduction in fat to prepare for the role.  Many critics acclaimed her as best actress in 1999. Swank's acting has made her final winner of the Golden Globe for drama actress and best actress Oscar for the best. The couple met in 1992, while filming Quiet Days in Hollywood, a movie video.  feel ashamed Swank forgot to thank Lowe said after receiving Oscar first, in 2000. At a second Oscar, in 2005, Lowe was the first person she thanked. However, in January 2006, the couple separated. In later interviews, Swank expressed hope that they will reconcile, but in May 2006, announced that they will divorce.  December 2006, Swank confirmed he had a date with John Campisi, her agent.
