Ashanti attracted much attention when Grammy winning debut album Ashanti in the category "Album Best R & B" with the song "Foolish" sold 503,000 copies in its first week of release in 2002. The album was recorded albums with the highest consumption of a female artist in the first week. That same week, she became the first female artist with the second single "Foolish" and "What's Luv" and ranked 1 and 2 in the Billboard Hot 100.
