Diane "Diana" Ernestine Ross (March 26, 1944) is a singer, actor and American record producer. Her musical styles range from R & B, soul, disco and pop to jazz. In 1960, Ross was one of those who have helped shape and develop the popular music and the Motown sound, as the lead singer of The Supremes before leaving the group and become a singer solo in the early 1970s. Since beginning his career with The Supremes so far, Diana Ross has sold a total of 100 million records.

In the 1970s until the mid-1980s, Ross was the most successful female artists of the rock era, expanded to include the areas of film, television and on Broadway. She received an Oscar nomination for outstanding actress for her role in the movie Billie Holiday Lady Sings the Blues in 1972, and also a Golden Globe for this role. Ross also won American Music Awards, along with 12 Grammy nominations, and received a Tony Award for her own program, An Evening with Diana Ross in 1977.

In 1976, Billboard magazine called her the "female entertainers of the century". Guinness Book of Records recorded female artist Diana Ross is the most successful music of the 20th century with a total of 18 singles champion in the U.S. market: including 12 times when the Supremes and six as a solo artist , and this is the first time that a solo female artist can get 6 singles champion. She also was one of those two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - as a solo artist and as a member of trio The Supremes. In December 2007, she received the award in honor of the Kennedy Center.

So far, Ross has recorded a total of 57 studio albums, including album of the Supremes.
