Emperatriz Kathleen "Kat" DeLuna (born September 15, 1985, in The Bronx, New York) but grew up in an area of Newark. She is an R & B singer Dominican Americans (while her parents Dominican descent). She signed a recording contract with Epic Records / GMB and Akon's Konvict Muzik. Her mother is the owner of a bakery in the shopping in Newark. The main purpose of Konvict Muzik is initially re-reissue of her album 9 Lives, but recently a source of new information is revealed on the myspace page says that Kat was ready to return to the studio for his second album so maybe the re-release 9 Lives is impossible.
As early as age 12, she was invited to sing "Queen of Merengue" Milly Quezada before thousands of spectators. In April 2004 she joined the Latino band and opening act for rapper Cassidy's performance. More influenced by Aretha Franklin and also from the music of Aretha Franklin, the new Kat decided to become a singer. July 2008, Kat DeLuna said in a brief interview on the MySpace page that she has returned to the studio to prepare for the track record in his second album, and is still no official title for this album. On September 15, 2008, Kat DeLuna sang the national anthem been criticized so bad that the show Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles at Texas Stadium. Epic Records took up the advertising for the first single of Kat is "Whine Up". This song has the participation of the Elephant Man voice. The song was played on MySpace officially on June 20. The song was also played on U.S. radio on May 15, 2007. The song originally debuted at number 24 in the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles Top News No. 124 on Billboard Hot 100 table, then climb up to No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 tables.
During the summer of 2007 the song "Whine up" was very popular and was repeatedly asked on the popular radio and continuously ranked first. In Australia, a top 20 singles and won at No. 18 on February 11, 2008. "Whine up" was chosen as the theme song for the first prize WWE SummerSlam 2007. In France, the song debuted at No. 9 on the French charts Chart in December 2007.
Kat also recorded a special version of "Whine up" as "Rise Up (Mets!)," a song written by David Brody of Z100 and was sung at Shea Stadium in the performance of the Z100. The song is also used in the program "So You Think You Can Dance: Canada" broadcast in 2008.
