Mike Shinoda was born in the family blood line father carrying two Japanese-American, Mr. Leslie Shinoda and Ms. Kim, a woman carrying two Hungarian-Russian blood. Mike grew up in Agoura, California, a suburb of Los Angeles, where his residence before adulthood. Mike has a younger brother (born 1979) named Jason Shinoda, and Mike called me himself "Jay".
The first time he's out with commercial music at the high school years, when he attended a concert of Anthrax and Public Enemy. Then he started with piano lessons, learning to play the classics, and then switched to jazz and hip hop. During that time, his guitar and eventually learn, is the perfect rap in his repertoire.
In the early years of adolescence, music passion Mike had found encouragement in friend Brad Delson, and along with Brad, Mike began writing and recording some songs in a temporary studio at Mike's bedroom. Shinoda studied at Agoura High School with members of Linkin Park Brad Delson, as well as some other members of the band Hoobastank. The end of high school is also a time drummer Rob Bourdon joined this music project. The three formed a band called Xero, and began more seriously to pursue their career in the music industry.
After graduating from high school, Mike enrolled in the Art Center College of Design (Art Center College) to study graphic design and illustrations. Here Mike was familiar with Joseph Hahn, is a DJ and Handles disk, is a former school friend Brad. Joseph, along with Dave "Phoenix" Farrell has joined the team at Xero.
Shinoda eventually completed degree level graphics, ensuring that his own career as a graphic designer after graduation. Along with experience and talent of an artist, Mike has designed the entire painting with Hahn, and moreover, they have designed the album cover for Styles of Beyond 2000 Fold.
Linkin Park
Just before graduation, the band (at this point called Hybrid Theory) has added a second singer Chester Bennington, replacing Mark Wakefield.
Only six of EP has been released under a new name before they are forced to change the band name again - and so has led to the adoption of that Shinoda along with other members of the band calls they are "Lincoln Park" as recommended by Chester Bennington. However, lincolnpark.com domain name has been used and if they want to purchase this domain name, the cost would be small pay. So they changed to Linkin Park. In 1999, Linkin Park continued to pursue their way at the club in Los Angeles.
Fort Minor
Shinoda up a side project named "Fort Minor" between about 2004 and 2005 because he could not prove the nature of his hip hop in Linkin Park. He explained the name of the project in an interview [2]:
"'Fort' represents the more aggressive side of music. 'Minor' can mean: if you say the type of music theory, note first (minor key) will be lower. I want to name the album rather than putting my name on the cover, because I want people to focus on music, not me. "
Fort Minor's debut album, called The Rising Tied, released November 22, 2005, and the presence of Styles of Beyond, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Black Thought from The Roots. John Legend, Holly Brook, Jonah Matranga and including Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) as a production implementation.
In season NBA (National Basketball Association) in 2006-2007, "Remember The Name", the second single from the album The Rising Tied, became the background music programs on TNT NBA Overtime. It's a remix version of the NBA, and is still the staple song for NBA on TNT to date. Furthermore, the team Big East used "Remember The Name" as music accompaniment for Big East basketball season in 2006.
He is also shocking to all of Top 10 hit single surprise of "Where'd You Go" rose to # 4 in the Billboard Hot 100.
After releasing the album, Shinoda contributed to the iTunes music store by creating playlists (playlists) of their own.
Production
Shinoda has produced tracks for the album Lupe Fiasco and Styles Of Beyond, as well as producing and co-produced several albums of Linkin Park, including Reanimation, Hybrid Theory EP, the collaborative EP with Jay-Z: Collision Course , and most recently Minutes to Midnight. He also produced all of Linkin Park CDs Linkin Park Underground.
