Marilyn Monroe (June 1, 1926 - 5 months, 8 in 1962), whose real name was Norma Jeane Mortensen, an actor, sex symbol and pop icon's famous 20th century.

Monroe began a career as a model, then proceeds to the cinema. She often took supporting roles, but most will be appreciated, as in The Asphalt Jungle and All About Eve (1950). Acting style and provocative humor in films like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How to Marry a Millionaire, The Seven Year Itch and her role Sugar Kane in Some Like It Hot has put her on the legendary position in the history of cinema American cinema.

Marilyn is the last years of disease and scandal. She has always been famous for its paranoia and uncomfortable situation. In 1962, she died at age 36 due to the use of sedative overdose. His death has become a shocking events around the world and it also has a lot of speculation. There are many different opinions about the cause of death, finding was that there was an accident but also some really confirm that this is an assassination attempt.

In 1999, Monroe was ranked sixth in the list of 100 movie stars of the American Film Institute.

Biography

The son of Gladys Pearl Monroe, a woman employed to cut the film, Marilyn Monroe knew his father because his father, Edward Mortenson (1897-1981), had abandoned the mother and child after six months of marriage. The godfather, husband of Gladys successor, Martin Mortenson was named in her birth certificate.

During her lifetime, Marilyn Monroe Mortensen is not his father. She said as a child, she has been for man photo, which she says is the father, he had a thin mustache and looked vaguely like Clark Gable, she always took delight to think that Gable is his father, so do not ever want to find the real father. Mentally unstable and financially unable to care for Norma Jeane, Gladys her with foster parents Albert and Ida Bolender of Hawthorne, California and lived there until she was 7 years. According to her autobiography My Story (co-authored with writer and screenwriter Ben Hecht,) [3] Monroe Bolender always believed that the couple are the biological parents until Ida reveal the truth. After that Norma Jeane referred to them as Aunt & Uncle.

In weekly visits, Gladys told Norma Jeane that she had bought the house, and Norma Jeane was allowed to move in with her mother. Several months later, Gladys suffered a nervous breakdown. In My Story, Monroe recalls her mother "screaming and laughing" as she was taken to the State Hospital in Norwalk. Gladys's best friend, Grace McKee, became the legal guardian of Monroe. Grace had told Monroe that someday she would become "... an important woman ... a silver theater artist." Grace Jean Harlow, Norma Jeane ought to give up and hairdressing. They would go to the cinema together, it was the beginning for Norma's passion for cinema and the movie star.

After Grace McKee married Ervin Silliman Goddard in 1935, she was 9 years old Monroe was sent to the orphanage Los Angeles, (later renamed the Hollygrove), and then to the hospice. Two years later Grace took Norma Jeane back to live with her, Goddard and his own daughter. When Goddard tried to molest Norma Jeane, Grace sent her to live with her Olive Brunings. Norma Jeane was one of Olive's son forced at age 12 then went on to live with Grace's aunt, Ana Lower. When Ana illness, Norma Jeane returned with Grace and Ervin Goddard, where she met a neighbor, Jim Dougherty, and began a relationship with him.

Grace and her husband moved to the East and could not take Norma Jeane. Another family wanted to adopt Norma Jeane, but Gladys would not accept. Grace then approached a neighbor and her son suggested they, James Dougherty, Norma Jeane to marry her should not return to the orphanage or hospice, and in June 1942, they married. Monroe revealed in the autobiography that she did not feel like a wife; she enjoyed playing with neighborhood children until her husband called back. This marriage lasted until 1946 when Monroe decided to start acting career.
