Christopher Ruben Studdard (born September 12, 1978) is an American singer and American actor. He is the winner of American Idol (Season 2) in 2003 and later became a famous American singer of the pop and R & B.
Biography and career
Ruben Studdard was born in the city of Frankfurt, Germany when his father (who was serving in the U.S. Army) stationed here. He grew up in Birmingham, Alabama [2]. In 3 years, he followed her to perform at the local Baptist church and sang a solo from a very young age. In high school, he played football and thus receive scholarships at the University of Alabama A & M. At university, he began turning the music industry to pursue R & B and jazz. After that, he was a female singer singing the same buffer invited to Memphis, Tennessee to attend auditions of American Idol 2003.
Ruben Studdart has overcome many different opponents throughout the United States to become the winner of American Idol (Season 2). March 11, 2003 the Governor of Alabama Bob Riley declared a "Day Ruben Studdard" [3].
Up to the present time, Ruben Studdard has released three albums as Sourful (2003), I Need an Angel (2004) and The Return (2006). All 3 albums have earned the high ranking on the American charts and sold hundreds of thousands of copies. Most notable is Sourful album has sold 1.7 million copies and was awarded platinum. He also participated in several films such as One on One or All of Us as a guest.
